A book with multiple pages which records the flight timings, take offs, landings, periodically and other such details of a pilot is a Pilot Log Book.
A Branded Pilot Log Book should not be torn and the manual entries in the book and must be made with permanent ink. So it basically records the major flying achievements of a pilot. Therefore, it is a valuable personal document of the pilot. A pilot has to produce the log book if requested by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority at any time. However, carrying a personal logbook while on a flight is not mandatory for a pilot.
